Schnittke - Neo-romantic Russian Composer
Alfred Schnittke (Альфре́д Га́рриевич Шни́тке in Russian) is a Neo-Romantic composer. He was born November 24, 1934 and died August 3, 1998. His music can be described as "Polystylistic", meaning that he combines several different styles into one piece. His String Quartet No. 3 is a great example of this. Notice how at 1:13 his music changes drastically from Romantic to Modern.
